Job 19–20: Abandoned & Alone
“My kinsmen have gone away,
my friends have forgotten me.”
Truth For The Heart
“My kinsmen have gone away,
my friends have forgotten me.”
Ascribe to Yahweh, O sons of the mighty,
Ascribe to Yahweh glory and strength.
Ascribe to Yahweh the glory of His name;
Worship Yahweh in the splendor of holiness.
“Entreat me not to leave you,
Or to turn back from following after you.”
“It is my son’s tunic.
A wild beast has devoured him;
Joseph has surely been torn to pieces!”
For who regards you as superior?
What do you have that you did not receive?
And if you did receive it, why do you boast as if you had not received it?
“For I say to you, from now on
you will not see Me until you say,
‘BLESSED IS HE WHO COMES
IN THE NAME OF THE LORD!’”
“Turn to Me and be saved,
all the ends of the earth;
For I am God, and there is no other.”
“My days have past,
my plans are shattered,
And so are the desires of my heart.”
Who is this King of glory?
