Genesis 48–50: Farewell & Forgiveness
“Do not be afraid, for am I in God’s place?
As for you, you meant evil against me,
but God meant it for good
in order to do what has happened
on this day, to keep many people alive.”
Truth For The Heart
“Do not be afraid, for am I in God’s place?
As for you, you meant evil against me,
but God meant it for good
in order to do what has happened
on this day, to keep many people alive.”
“But to this one I will look,
To him who is humble and contrite of spirit, and who trembles at My word.”
But He knows the way I take;
When He has tested me,
I shall come forth as gold.”
He loves righteousness and justice;
The earth is full of the lovingkindness
of Yahweh.
Then Samuel took a stone
and set it between Mizpah and Shen,
and he named it Ebenezer. And he said,
“Thus far Yahweh has helped us.”
“A Redeemer will come to Zion,
And to those who turn from transgression in Jacob,” declares Yahweh.
Blessed be Yahweh,
For He has made marvelous His lovingkindness to me in a besieged city.
As a result of the anguish of His soul,
He will see it and be satisfied;
By His knowledge the Righteous One,
My Servant, will justify the many,
As He will bear their iniquities.
Ascribe to Yahweh, O sons of the mighty,
Ascribe to Yahweh glory and strength.
Ascribe to Yahweh the glory of His name;
Worship Yahweh in the splendor of holiness.
