“Comfort ye, comfort ye my people,”
saith your God.
Truth For The Heart
“Comfort ye, comfort ye my people,”
saith your God.
Then beginning with Moses
and with all the prophets,
He interpreted to them the things
concerning Himself in all the Scriptures.
Having canceled out the certificate of debt
consisting of decrees against us which was hostile to us,
He also has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross.
And Jesus, uttering a loud cry,
breathed His last.
And the veil of the sanctuary
was torn in two from top to bottom.
What Thou, my Lord, hast suffered,
was all for sinners’ gain;
Mine, mine was the transgression,
but Thine the deadly pain.
Now the Feast of Unleavened Bread,
which is called the Passover, was drawing near.
“The kingdoms of this world are become
the kingdoms of our Lord,
and of his Christ!”
“And the rain fell, and the floods came,
and the winds blew and slammed
against that house; and yet it did not fall, for it had been founded on the rock.”
But when the fullness of the time came, God sent forth His Son.
