Blessed be Yahweh,
For He has made marvelous His lovingkindness to me in a besieged city.
So Pharaoh said to Joseph, “Since God has made you know all of this, there is no one so understanding and wise as you are.
You shall be over my house,
and according to your command all my people shall do homage; only in the throne I will be greater than you.”
As a result of the anguish of His soul,
He will see it and be satisfied;
By His knowledge the Righteous One,
My Servant, will justify the many,
As He will bear their iniquities.
“My kinsmen have gone away,
my friends have forgotten me.”
“Entreat me not to leave you,
Or to turn back from following after you.”
“It is my son’s tunic.
A wild beast has devoured him;
Joseph has surely been torn to pieces!”
“My days have past,
my plans are shattered,
And so are the desires of my heart.”
