Job 25–26: Feeble Friends & A Holy God
“What a help you are
to the one without power!
How you have saved
the arm without strength!
What counsel you have given
to one without wisdom!”
Truth For The Heart
“What a help you are
to the one without power!
How you have saved
the arm without strength!
What counsel you have given
to one without wisdom!”
But He knows the way I take;
When He has tested me,
I shall come forth as gold.”
“How then will you vainly comfort me,
Indeed when your answers remain
full of falsehood?”
“My days have past,
my plans are shattered,
And so are the desires of my heart.”
“My friends are my scoffers;
My eye weeps to God.”
“Your memorable sayings
are proverbs of ashes,
Your defenses are defenses of clay.”
“He who is at ease holds
calamity in contempt,
As prepared for those whose feet slip.”
This also comes from Yahweh of hosts,
Who has made His counsel wonderful
and His wisdom great.
“Were He to sweep by me,
I would not see Him;
Were He to move past me,
I would not perceive Him.
Were He to snatch away,
who could turn Him back?
Who could say to Him,
‘What are You doing?’”
