Happy Mother’s Day!

Happy Mother’s Day! This is not the easiest of days for many women. Whatever your circumstances, the Lord knows your labor of love for children—whether they are yours or children whom you have nurtured and encouraged. May He bless you and honor you for your faithful work.

May He comfort and console those of you who have lost children.

May He strengthen and sustain those of you who have children in turmoil.

May those of you without children be blessed by those whom you have mothered in their time of need.

And for those of you who have been forsaken by your own mother:

But Zion said, “The LORD has forsaken me,
And the Lord has forgotten me.”
“Can a woman forget her nursing child
And have no compassion on the son of her womb?
Even these may forget, but I will not forget you.
Behold, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands;
Your walls are continually before Me.”
