Job 29–30: Afflicted & Alone
“I cry out to You for help,
but You do not answer me.”
Truth For The Heart
“I cry out to You for help,
but You do not answer me.”
As the deer pants for the water brooks,
So my soul pants for You, O God.
With my voice to Yahweh I shout out:
with my voice to Yahweh
I appeal for grace.
What Thou, my Lord, hast suffered,
was all for sinners’ gain;
Mine, mine was the transgression,
but Thine the deadly pain.

“Till I breathe my last
I will not remove my integrity from me.
I hold fast my righteousness
and will not let it go.
My heart does not reproach
any of my days.”
I waited, waited for Yahweh;
And He turned and listened to my cry.
The stone which the builders rejected

It is marvelous in our eyes.
“You come to me with a sword, a spear, and a javelin, but I come to you in the name of Yahweh of hosts, the God of the battle lines of Israel, whom you have reproached.”
